Pantaloon’s Partner Games for February are…
Yes this month, if you saw the bit above, we're partnering with Firesquid; a publisher that just so happens to be on the cusp of unleashing two notable works upon the world.
As part of this partnership, we actually have two games for you this month: Ex-Sanguis, and Vultures. And much like January, we're funking with our model a little bit to keep things fresh.
A little later this month, there will a Demo for both Ex-Sanguis and Vultures. If you're a Pantaloon subscriber (you're reading this, you are), and you manage to complete either demo, you'll bag the full game at launch. If you're quick enough. We have 1000 keys for each game, and they'll last as long as they last.
So there is no Puzzle this month, then; the very games themselves are the challenge. Finish the demo, get the full game.
IMPORTANT: If you want a key this month, you'll still need to hit the button below as well as completing the Demo(s) - this is an additional security thing.
Ex Sanguis
Oh, she's a beaut this one. Black, white and red all over (bit like that old newspaper joke) - Ex Sanguis has one of those art styles that feels both effortless and timeless. The palette is also directly tied to the game's themes and objectives - as the spilled blood of your foes paints the world red.
Ex-Sanguis is a tactical turn-based strategy game with a roguelite wrapper.
"Bleed the world back to life in a series of tactical, turn-based bloodbaths! Lead your STILLAE, elite warriors in the fight to save a dying world from the forces of STASIS. Slay foes, kick them back on the timeline, and trigger chain events where elegance and blood flow as one."
Plan your next moves with dynamic turn-based combat, strategically triggering epic chains of events across the battlefield:
Use Timeline Effects to speed up, delay or swap time position to impact turn order and outsmart your enemies.
Play with your surroundings that can explode, ignite enemies, or block sight... changing the outcome of the battles.
Leverage spatial effects like knock-backs, forced facings, flanking bonuses, and damage-over-time to dominate every encounter.
Unlock a vast arsenal of abilities, each offering powerful synergies and deep build customization.
Vultures
In a fortuitous turn of events, Firesquid's other game with a demo this month ALSO sort've has a black, white and red aesthetic going on - which makes all the surrounding brand assets wonderfully coherent doesn't it?!?
Much like Ex Sanguis, Vultures finds itself in that tactical turn-based camp, but unlike Ex Sanguis, it's gritty, grubby and a step out of time; a throwback to the survival horror genre of yesteryear.
"Inspired by some of the most foundational Survival Horror franchises like Resident Evil; Vultures embraces a retro PS1 aesthetic and mechanics that lead to a tense, horror filled exploration. Isolated as a single agent in the dark halls of the city, every choice could lead to a successful mission or death."
