pantaloon’s game for August is:

everybody deserves their own PA

Acolyte's a weird one. With a portrait aspect ratio and natural language input system, it looks more like WhatsApp than a game.

Acolyte has you (you, as in your lovely self) starting employment for a tech giant called Nanomax. You get assigned a manager, tasks, an email account etc. Oh and you get your own acolyte; a cutting edge AI assistant that is your job to test.

As you chat with your acolyte, concerns around how she was developed quickly start to appear and you'll find yourself in the midst of a conspiracy.

The puzzles then come thick and fast, pushing players to find answers in unlikely places. From tracking down leads across social media, to investigating websites that exist in the real word - Acolyte pushes ARGs into new territory.

natural language.

talk to your acolyte with natural langauge input i.e. with words and sentences and any question your mind might conjure. There are no binary dialogue choices here, just free-flowing conversation.

Use your acolyte to solve puzzles and unearth a corportated conspiracy.

down the ARG rabbit hole.

acolyte very quickly transcends its own game window and starts to bring its investigation into the real world. Use your acolyte to solve puzzles and uncover a mystery that spills across the web…

want to play acolyte? ‘course you do. You’re just a few clicks and clacks away…
