Bold and Bizarre Games Bulletin - February 2026
2026 is off to a raging start for us weird game aficionados. Even since last month's Bulletin there have been a slew of bizarre games launching, all vying for attention as the indie-spotlight is pointed in a certain direction (🐱).
This has made it both very easy (no shortage of banging games) and very difficult (choosing just five is tough) to assemble this month's newsletter for you. But - rejoice! - I've done it! I've trawled the pages of Steam and Itch for hours on end, bringing together the five games I think you, FIRSTNAME, will appreciate the most.
Oh, and for the first time ever, this month's Bulletin is also available in video form - see below for more on this.
#1 Skinface
Out Now, Itch.io | Adam Pye
Skinface is the new game from Adam Pye, the creator of No Players Left Online. Skinface takes things in an altogether different creative direction; it's dark, grimy and wildly funny. A short game about getting an assassination target to open their apartment door by wearing the face of somebody they might trust. As you do. It's horrific, yes, but steers clear of more traditional horror tropes giving it an atmosphere unique unto itself.
#2 ABIDE
Coming Soon, Kickstarter | Talha and Jack
ABIDE describes itself as "extreme stop motion horror" and I would say this seems apt. The next game from the creators of Judero and Mashina (both of which have featured in this newsletter) continues the claymation trend, but this time takes things into darker and more depraved territory. ABIDE is a first person horror game using dolls, stop-motion and prosthetic gore effects to create an incredibly unsettling aesthetic. And the weighty subject matter seems to amplify the game's oppressive tone perfectly. The Kickstarter campaign is currently live for anybody that wants to help will this into reality.
#3 Umigari
Out Now, Steam | Chilla's Art
Fishing games are so IN right now. The fish-zeitgeist is here and if you're not on the (fishing) boat you're going to get left behind. While the quaint, calm and colourful end of the fishing spectrum has been well covered (Dave the Diver, Fishing Paradiso, Cast n Chill), we're now starting to reel in the more unhinged stuff. Umigari starts off all serene, like, as you drift around and soak in some gorgeous sunsets, but then it's fair to say things head in a very different direction...
#4 Creature Kitchen
Out Now , Steam | The Rat Zone
Creepy-cozy is another sub-genre that is popping off right now; games that capture both ends of that dark-to-light spectrum with something for all tastes. Creature Kitchen feels slightly more on the creepy side of the scale for me; a game where you befriend and attract the furry-denizens of the forest so you can lure them into your cabin at night and cook them some nice food.
#5 Dunderbeck
Demo Out Now, Steam | RUST LTD.
Dunderbeck is the new game from sausage aficionados RUST LTD., who you may remember from Hotdogs, Horshoes and Handgrenades. This latest work is also sausage-centric, because of course, presenting a "frantic inventory-management auto-battler" where you'll throw random junk into your portable crafting machine and then consume the mushed up bangers you've created. Probably best not to think too much about the ingredients here.
Reminder! Pantaloon's partnered games for February are Ex-Sanguis and Vultures
Two games this month! The effortlessly stylish Ex-Sanguis, and the very grubby Vultures -- both of which you'll be able to bag via the game's new demos. Link your email in the main menu before playing and - while keys last - if you're able to complete the Demo you'll bag a copy of the full game at launch (dates will be communicated here when they're announced).
NOTE: You'll still need to hit the button below just so we know you're a real life human being.

And with that our precious time together comes to an end. It's been lovely hasn't it? We'll see you again very soon x
